As our Manager of Cath Lab Systems, your mission is to lead a phenomenal team of well tenured, smart and innovative cath lab professionals by providing hands-on oversight of four service lines, including cardiology, electrophysiology, vascular surgery and interventional radiology. This is a wonderful opportunity to expand your inpatient, ambulatory expertise in the cath lab across multiple hospital units.
Reporting to the Director of Cardiovascular Service Line; you have a seat the table with senior clinical leadership to positively impact change and best practices while expanding services to the surrounding community. Your leadership style is a solid blend of compassion and forthrightness. You have a demonstrated ability to pivot quickly and reprioritize as the needs of the staff and patients changes.
In this role your success is predicated upon leading and developing your team; while also being the go-to subject matter expert. Duties include:
- Plan, direct, coordinate, implement, delegate, supervise, and evaluate the quality of patient care in the Cardiac Diagnostic and Interventional Laboratory (CDIL), Electrophysiology Laboratory, and 3 East activities
- Direct, oversee, and implement staffing schedules and patient assignments in the Cath, EP, and 3 East patient care environments
- Provide leadership to employees and financial accountability of the various procedural and patient care areas of oversight via effective resource management
- Select, orient, develop, and evaluate highly motivated staff capable of successfully performing needed services that comply with the standards of the department, medical centers, HFAP, and other applicable regulatory agencies
- Ensure compliance with established standards and prepare areas of responsibility for regulatory agency inspection
- Maintain personal knowledge through attendance of meetings, reading and communication with peers at other facilities, and by reviewing the newest quality, outcomes, and process improvement techniques
- Conduct frequent Process Improvement (PI) and Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives to build top decile performance in quality outcomes and efficiency
- Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with Medical Center staff, management, physicians, and external contacts to meet the lab and Medical Centers objectives
- BSN Preferred
- Cath Lab experience required
- Ability to create and maintain good rapport with cardiovascular and aligned medical staff
- 2+ years of acute care experience
- 3+ years of direct patient care experience
- Exposure to both inpatient and ambulatory cardiovascular services preferred
Education, Skills, Knowledge and Attributes:
- BSN Preferred
- Cath Lab experience required
- Ability to create and maintain good rapport with cardiovascular and aligned medical staff
- 2+ years of acute care experience
- 3+ years of direct patient care experience
